Black Lotus on my server is quite cheap, maybe 5g per lotus. And the dreamfoil and icecap required to make the flask are from Azshara and Winterspring which are rarely farmer. I think it took me about an hour to farm 15 flasks worth. As for the rest of the guide, thank you very much for compiling this information Siha.

Very nice write-up

Regarding Black Lotus you may occasionally find them cheap on the AH. Most people don't hold pre=WoTLK stuff in much regard they usually get sold off pretty cheaply when people find them.

Hah! I forgot that - that'll teach me not to doublecheck.

Frankly, given the difficulty of getting Black Lotus, and the fairly restrictive compositional requirements for it to exceed the mp5 flask, I'd rather use the mp5 flask if I were worried about regen.

For clarity, the Flask of Distilled Wisdom is actually a Vanilla WoW flask, and requires Black Lotus. This makes it while effective, a very time consuming or expensive endeavour.

From some napkin math, you need a resto shammy + 72%+ replenishment uptime for a flask of distilled wisdom to equal a flask of pure mojo, regen-wise.

From what I've read, Flask of distilled wisdom is still one of the better flasks for pallies, esp. if you're going for longevity. MP5 just isn't worth it.

Flask of Distilled Wisdom(+65 Int) is much better for mana regen than Flask of Pure Mojo. Distilled Wisdom gives you a larger mana pool which is affected by Divine Plea, Replenishment, Mana Tide and, for Blood Elves, Arcane Torrent. Distilled Wisdom also provides about .6% crit chance also. The math is laying around somewhere in elitist jerks forums, but if you want mana regen then using Pure Mojo is definitely not the way to go.
